    Design Workshop for Students – Northern Region
    15th October 2016 – IHC, New Delhi

    KEY HIGHLIGHTS

    • 60+ Students from famous Northern Region Design Institutes in the country participated in the second edition of the workshop, such as
    • IIT, Delhi
    • IIT, Kanpur
    • UPES, Dehradun
    • SPA, New Delhi
    • IP College of Engineering, Ghaziabad

    SKETCHING SESSION

    Teams were required to work on one of the following products:

    • Modification of an existing vehicle in the Indian market
    • Alternate Energy vehicle for the next generation

    Industry mentors

    – Saurabh Singh and two more designers from Maruti Suzuki
    – Nilesh Kirtane and one more designer from HMSI

     

    Design Workshop for Students – Western Region
    22nd and 23rd February 2016 – MITID, Pune

    KEY HIGHLIGHTS

    • 60+ Students from famous Western Region Design Institutes in the country participated in the second edition of the workshop, such as
    • MITID, Pune
    • ISD- Rubika, Pune
    • DYPDC, Pune
    • IDC, Mumbai
    • NID, Ahmedabad

    SKETCHING SESSION
    Teams were required to work on one of the following products:

    • 2-Wheeled Urban Commuter, All-Electric Powertrain
    • 4-Wheeled Intra-City Delivery Vehicle, Hybrid Powertrain
    • 4-Wheeled PERFECT Urban Commuter, Hybrid Powertrain
    • In an effort to get different perspectives / point-of-view , each product was allotted to at least 2 teams
    • Real-time feedback and hand-holding was done during the workshop

    • 50+ Students from famous North India Design Institutes like IIT-Delhi (IDDC), SPA, Raffles Design School, Apeejay School of Design, UPES Dehradun etc
    • Session on Automobile and component Design opportunities in Indian Industry
    • Introduction & Explanation of ADC theme
    • Guidance on making impactful Portfolio
    • Hands-on sketching workshop on “Design thinking and Concept building skills”

    SKETCHING SESSION

    • As a part of this session students were encouraged to sketch on ADC theme
    • Real-time feedback and hand-holding was done during the workshop
